We drove away to the airport early Tuesday morning with a view of a fire just starting in the mountains in front of us in DeLuz. It was hard leaving the kids with practically all of So. Calif. on fire and so much uncertainty. After a few phone calls home to reassure us that everything was okay, and after we settled into the amazingly beautiful KoOlina Beach Club - we got over it. We had the most amazing view from our room (thanks Scott and TeDD!) We ran right down to the lagoon and met up with our friends in their rented cabana, drinking lava flows on the beach. I was giddy with excitement. Could life be any better than that? We snorkeled a little in the lagoon. Then finished the day with an incredible dinner at Roy's.

Looks so beautiful - I felt bad for you when you were leaving in the middle of the fires that it might make it harder to relax - Im glad you were able to have fun - except the throwing up thing. More pictures and info please!

mmmmmmm...Lava Flows are my fav! I would love to get away to the islands (well, anywhere really!) Looks beautiful!
I'm so glad you're back AND that you had a great time. There are just too many people going on dream vacations around here! I just want to know when is it my turn? I won't hold my breath for it to be any time soon.
